How it works

How influencer collaborations work on CloutROI

Whether you're hiring or being hired, every collaboration on CloutROI moves through the same protected steps: agree → contract → escrow → deliver → approve → paid. Here's what that means on each side.

For brands

From brief to content in six steps

Hiring a creator works like hiring any professional — except the vetting data is verified and the payment risk is removed.

  1. 1

Post a campaign — or invite creators directly

Describe the deliverables, budget and audience. Creators apply, or you search and invite the ones that fit.

  2. 2

    Review applicants with verified numbers

Compare creators on platform-verified analytics, past deals and reviews — every figure labelled by how it was verified.

  3. 3

Agree the deal and confirm the contract

Price, deliverables, revisions, timeline and usage rights are captured in a built-in contract both sides confirm.

  4. 4

    Fund escrow

You pay the agreed total (deal value + 5% fee + GST on fees) into escrow. The creator sees it is funded and starts work — but cannot touch it.

  5. 5

    Review the content

The creator submits through the platform. Approve it, or request revisions within the agreed limit — all on the record.

  6. 6

    Approve and release

On approval, escrow releases to the creator automatically. You get the content with the usage rights you agreed.

For creators

From profile to payout

You see your exact net before accepting, you start only after the money is secured, and approval can't be stalled forever.

  1. 1

    Build your profile once

Connect Instagram or YouTube to verify your analytics, publish fixed-price packages, add your portfolio.

  2. 2

    Apply or get invited

Apply to open campaigns, or get invited by brands who find you by niche, city or language.

  3. 3

    Accept with the full picture

Before you accept, the deal shows your exact net amount — after the 12% fee and 1% TDS. No surprises later.

  4. 4

Start only after escrow is funded

You never start work on a promise. The brand’s payment sits in escrow before your first draft.

  5. 5

    Deliver and handle revisions

Submit through the platform; revision requests are bounded by what the contract allows.

  6. 6

    Get paid

Approval releases your money to your linked bank account. If a brand goes silent after delivery, auto-release protection steps in — approval can’t be stalled forever.

Escrow & safety

Where the money sits, at every step

On our collaboration platform the deal value never sits with the other party — it sits in protected escrow, and every movement needs an explicit, recorded action.

While work is in progress

The brand has paid, so the creator can start with confidence — but the money is held by the platform, so the brand stays protected until the work is approved. Both sides see the same escrow status on the deal at all times.

If something goes wrong

The two sides can negotiate a resolution — including splitting the escrow — directly on the deal. If they can't agree, a human moderator reviews both sides' evidence and decides. Refunds flow back through the same protected rails.

Wondering what this costs? Pricing is one flat fee per deal — escrow protection included.

Questions

Common questions

What does escrow mean on CloutROI?

When a brand funds a deal, the money is held safely by the platform — the creator sees it is secured but cannot withdraw it, and the brand cannot quietly take it back. It is released to the creator when the brand approves the delivered work.

What happens if the content isn’t right?

Brands can request revisions within the limit agreed in the contract. The creator revises and resubmits through the platform, so every round is on the record.

What if the brand and creator can’t agree?

First, the two sides can negotiate a resolution — including a split of the escrow — directly on the deal. If that fails, a human moderator reviews the evidence from both sides and decides. Escrow money is never stranded.

What stops a brand from never approving the work?

Auto-release protection. After content is delivered, the brand has a review window; if they go silent, the platform automatically releases payment to the creator after 72 hours of inaction at the final stage.

When do creators actually receive the money?

As soon as the brand approves (or auto-release fires), the creator’s net amount is paid out to their linked bank account. The exact net — after the 12% platform fee and statutory 1% TDS — was shown before they accepted the deal.
