Frequently asked questions
How does escrow protect my deal?
When a brand funds a deal, the money is held securely in escrow through our payment partner (Razorpay Route). It is not paid to the creator straight away. Funds are released only when the brand approves the delivery, the review window closes, or a dispute is resolved. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full detail.
When do payouts release to creators?
A creator is paid as soon as the brand approves the delivery. If the brand neither approves nor raises a dispute within 72 hours of delivery, the funds auto-release to the creator. The exact net amount — after fees and TDS — is shown on every deal before it is accepted.
How do I raise a dispute?
Open the deal and select “Raise a dispute” before the 72-hour review window closes. The parties can propose a split; if they cannot agree, a CloutROI moderator decides. The moderator’s decision is final as to release of the escrowed funds. More in our Terms of Service.
What are the fees?
CloutROI charges a flat platform fee on each completed deal — currently 12% from creators and 5% from brands, always disclosed before the brand funds the deal. GST (18%) applies to the platform fee only (never the creator’s deal value), and a statutory 1% TDS is withheld from the creator payout. See the worked example on our Pricing page.
